How does the Algerian driver’s license validity check work online?

What is the Algerian driver’s license?
Issued in 2013, the “classic” license (pink cardboard with three panels) has been replaced by a plastic card in ID-1 format (credit card size) featuring high-level security elements (MRZ band and electronic chip), which help combat fraud better and provide real-time access to information. What document formats are accepted?
You can send your documents as image files (jpg, png, etc.) or PDFs.
Am I charged if the information is not correctly extracted during the Algerian driver’s license validity check?
The answer is no! Only a correctly recognized document is billable!
If characters are not correctly detected (which may happen with a poor quality photo, for example), you have the option to correct them to ensure reliable analysis no matter what.

How does the Algerian driver’s license validity check work?
The data extracted from the MRZ band are as follows:
- First line:
- Document Type: 2 characters, code indicating the document type, represented by the letters “DL”.
- Issuing Country: 3 characters, the ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 code of the issuing country, for Algeria it is “DZA”.
- Card Number: 9 characters, unique document number.
- Check Digit: 1 character, check digit of the unique document number.
- Line End: 15 characters, “<” to complete the line.
- Second line:
- Date of Birth: 6 characters, year, month and day of birth in YYMMDD format.
- Check Digit: 1 character, check digit of the date of birth.
- Gender: 1 character, “M” for male, “F” for female.
- Expiration Date: 6 digits, expiration date of the card in YYMMDD format.
- Check Digit: 1 character, check digit of the expiration date.
- Country Code: 3 characters, ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 code of the holder’s nationality (in this case DZA).
- Line End: 11 characters, chevrons to complete the line.
- Check Digit: 1 character, check digit of the concatenation of characters line 1 positions 6-15, line 2 positions 1-7, line 2 positions 9-15.
- Third line:
- Holder’s Last and First Names: Last and first names of the holder, starting with the last name followed by the first name. The last name and first name are separated by two < characters. In the case of a compound last name, compound first name, or multiple first names, they are separated by the < character. Spaces and apostrophes are replaced by the < character and the name is truncated to 30 characters if necessary, and any accents present on the letters are removed. The line is then completed by the < character.
Personal Data
You can delete all data once the report has been downloaded: simply delete the analysis from the web interface history !
Data is also automatically deleted after 3 months.
