How does the online Kazakh identity card validity check work?
After your purchase is validated, you will receive an email with credentials to log into our identity web application (please check your spam folder a few minutes after purchase if you do not receive the activation email).

- You log into the web application using the credentials received by email after your purchase or registration.

- From your dashboard, you choose the option “Verify an identity document.”

Which document formats are accepted?
You can submit your documents in jpg / jpeg / png image format, or as a PDF.
Scans/photos do not need to be cropped or edited: they are automatically detected during the Kazakh ID card validity check.
You can send both the front and back of the ID in the same scan and in any order (front first and back below, or vice versa): they will be sorted and recognized without issue.
The same applies to skew: scans can be slightly tilted/misaligned, they will still be properly recognized by our service!
Am I charged if the information is not correctly extracted during the Kazakh identity card validity check?
The answer is no! Only a correctly recognized document is billable!
If characters are not correctly detected (which may happen with a poor quality photo, for example), you have the option to correct them to ensure reliable analysis no matter what.

How does the Kazakh identity card validity check work?
A machine-readable zone, or optical reading zone, is an area on an official document reserved for reading, identifying, and validating this document.
Thus, documents such as passports, national ID cards, residence permits, and driver’s licenses can or must include, depending on the country and document version, a machine-readable zone.
It is located at the bottom of identity documents: it contains all the information present on the document with security keys allowing verification of authenticity and ensuring that they have not been modified.
The information found there varies depending on the type of document.
How is the Kazakh identity card MRZ composed?
Cards issued from 2021 onwards contain three lines of text, each containing alphanumeric characters.
What data is extracted from a Kazakh identity card MRZ?
The data extracted from the Kazakh ID card MRZ are as follows:
- First line:
- Document Type: 2 characters, code indicating the type of document, represented by the letters “ID”.
- Issuing Country: 3 characters, the ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 code of the issuing country.
- Card Number: 9 characters, unique card number.
- Check Digit: 1 character, check digit of the unique card number.
- Individual Identification Number: 12 characters, the cardholder’s individual identification number.
- Line End: “<” to complete the line.
- Second line:
- Date of Birth: 6 characters, year, month, and day of birth in YYMMDD format.
- Check Digit: 1 character, check digit of the date of birth.
- Gender: 1 character, “M” for male, “F” for female.
- Expiration Date: 6 digits, card expiration date in YYMMDD format.
- Check Digit: 1 character, check digit of the expiration date.
- Country Code: 3 characters, ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 code of the holder’s nationality.
- Separator: 1 character, “<“.
- Check Digit: 1 character, check digit of the concatenation of characters line 1 6-15, line 2 1-7, line 2 9-15.
- Third line:
- Holder’s Name and First Names: surname and given names of the holder, starting with the surname followed by the given name. The surname and given name are separated by two “<” characters. In case of a compound surname, compound given name, or multiple given names, they are separated by the “<” character. Spaces and apostrophes are replaced with “<” and the name is truncated to 30 characters if necessary, and any accents present on the letters are removed. The line is then completed with the “<” character.
Personal Data
You can delete all data once the report has been downloaded: simply delete the analysis from the web interface history !
Data is also automatically deleted after 3 months.
